The short version

• We use your documents only to run your claim desk.
• We never sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
• Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest.
• You can download or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• Account and contact details: name, email, phone (if you turn on text reminders), and property state.
• Claim materials you upload: insurer estimates and letters, policy documents, photos, videos, receipts, and inventory lists. These can include your address, policy and claim numbers, and details about your home and belongings.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We don't store full card numbers.
• Usage data: pages visited, referral source, and device information, used to run and improve the service.

How we use it

To provide Claim Scan, Estimate Check, Contents Builder, the ALE Tracker, letters, and reminders. To send the emails you asked for and service messages about your account. To prevent fraud and abuse. To improve our software using aggregated, de-identified data, for example how often a line item is missing from estimates for a given peril.

Service providers

We share data only with vendors that help us operate, under contracts that limit their use of it: cloud hosting, AI model providers that process documents to generate your results (configured so your data isn't used to train their models), Stripe for payments, and our email and text-message providers. Text messages

If you opt in to deadline reminders by text, we'll send only claim reminders. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, download, or delete your information in your account or by emailing [privacy email]. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, which we honor for all users.

Retention

We keep claim materials while your account is active and for 24 months after your last activity, unless you delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.

Security

Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls with least privilege, logging, and regular reviews. We will notify you of a breach as required by law.
